Blood Draw Instructions - Multi-Fly Needle Method (New Kit: 30 ml glass vials)

1. Sterilize area.
2. Insert multi-fly needle and stabilize.
3. Fit adapter to other/open end.
4. Remove inner circle of aluminum foil to expose rubber stopper on 30 ml vial in preparation for draw. DO NOT remove the entire foil cap.
5. Collect 2-3 ml of blood in small vacutainer tube and discard it.
6. Collect 20-25 ml of blood in the 30 ml vial.
7. Invert vial 3-4 times to mix anticoagulant. Do not shake vigorously.
8. Complete label information.
9. Place 30 ml vial in round slot in molded foam when ready for shipping.
10. If not shipping right away, store the vial in the refrigerator, DO NOT freeze, no more than 24 hours before shipping

Blood Draw Instructions - Syringe Method

1. Sterilize area.
2. Draw 2-3 ml of blood and discard.
3. Draw 20-25ml of blood with syringe.
4. Remove inner circle of aluminum foil to expose rubber stopper on 30 ml vial in preparation for draw. DO NOT remove the entire foil cap.
5. Place needle of syringe through middle of rubber stopper – blood will transfer automatically.
6. Remove syringe and needle together.
7. Invert vial 3-4 times to mix anticoagulant. Do not shake vigorously.
8. Complete label information.
9. Place 30 ml vial in round slot in moulded foam when ready for shipping.
10. If not shipping right away, store the vial in the refrigerator, DO NOT freeze, no more than 24 hours before shipping.
